Dwelling in GOD's presence

Joshua 1:8 -  Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Everyone who is facing a problem or any challenge in life will be solved based on how much one dwells in the presence of God. The word Dwell means a fixed position, not something that occurs seldom. You have to abide in the scriptures. Many Christians or rather believers are visitors to God, when they face the storms in their life. If one wants to lead a victorious christian life, then he or she can never be just a visitor or only be spending an hour a day or when facing the storms.

During world war II US soldiers were supposed to go to their enemy's area. Before sending them they should be well equipped and well versed in foreign language. And the Chief put those soldiers in a camp where only those were present who  could speak the language. Moreover, they were not supposed to speak any other language. So, within 6 weeks they could learn the foreign language. The soldeirs could learn it only because they would hear, see and read that language. Nothing else was present there.

I believe most of the problem people have because they aren't aware of God's presence. There's is a lack in the  knowledge of the scriptures. If they had the same, it would have changed their thoughts, their attitude towards the challenges. Proverbs 3:6 says in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Meditating the scripture more will help you to be filled with the word. Once you dwell in his words more than the world, your attitude towards problem will be different.

Psalm 91:1 says that you'll abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

He really Cares

Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

John Paton was a missionary in the New Hebrides Islands. One night hostile natives surrounded the mission station, intent on burning out the Patons and killing them. Paton and his wife prayed during that terror-filled night that God would deliver them. When daylight came they were amazed to see their attackers leave. A year later, the chief of the tribe was converted to Christ. Remembering what had happened, Paton asked the chief what had kept him from burning down the house and killing them. The chief replied in surprise, "Who were all those men with you there?" Paton knew no men were present--but the chief said he was afraid to attack because he had seen hundreds of big men in shining garments with drawn swords circling the mission station.

The Psalmist is indeed very sure and confident about the fact that HIS God is always ready to react when reached out. In this fast and furious life we often run out of fuel and are challenged in so many ways. Let this come as a breather that we have a God who is always ready to help us.

As we reach out to Jesus in all the moments of our lives, let’s be assured that he really cares for  you and me. We are His children and he will never forsake us. As we walk with HIM let us find him as our refuge and  strength for  He really cares.

True Christian Living is Evident

Matthew 12:33; “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.”
Everyone has had either a cold or flu. Everyone is familiar with the feeling of a cold coming on. Stuffiness begin to coagulate within your system. You begin to feel weak, or perhaps even feverish. A runny nose ensues, followed by clogged up nostrils, and it becomes clear that you are entering into a time of sickness. In fact, this phenomenon even has its own season designated. It’s called “Flu season.”
Certain types of weather can bring it on, or sometimes, a weakened immune system. One thing is pretty clear, however: when you have a cold, you know it. People who get close to you knows it. You can see the look of a cold or flu victim on their face. You can see the drowsiness in their eyes. You can hear the coughing or the sneezing on the perpetual use of the handkerchief designed to address some of the more unpleasant aspects of having the cold or the flu.
It’s pretty impossible to have a cold or the flu and not have symptoms. If you’ve got a cold or the flu, it is going to show up somewhere. Its pretty impossible too to have fellowship with God and not show up. Just like the cold or the flu, it has its symptoms. It is fairly easy to recognize.

FOMO - "FEAR OF MISSING OUT"

Luke 16:19-31 - in a story that depicts ETERNAL LOSS AND ETERNAL GLORY.

From the title itself you might have guessed what it defines. Fear of missing out is a universal experience in the human condition. Missing the bus, missing a promotion, missing a date with friends etc - we have all experienced missing out. Looking into the current trends most of us are addicted to either phones or social media. We want to know, we want to see, we want to Tweet or to be followed, We want to in all the conversations, we want the attention, we want to hear the beeps and pings, we keep on updating status or postings to make sure we aren't missing out. It's not just remained with the technology, it happens in our friends circle as well wherein we try to be on top of the score board.

It was not started in this generation, it is there since the beginning when a serpent softly spoke of a one-time opportunity to Eve and it worked out. Eat from the forbidden tree, Eve and you will be like God" Genesis (3:5). Who wants to miss this opportunity of becoming like God or Goddesses? Same happened with them too, their pride to become like God  or preserve their own independence, keeping all the Glory to themselves destroyed the God-man relationship. It was Satan's tactic and it worked. And it still does.

Jesus shares the story of a rich man who was socially and financially not missing out and a Lazarus who was missed out in all possible way. They both died and the former rich man turned to be a beggar and pleads for a drop of water, also pleads to resurrect lazarus and sent him to his 5 brothers to tell them the eternal life so that they should not end up here.

In other words we must have FOMO: the fear of unbelief and missing out eternally. For those in Christ ETERNITY will make up for EVERY loss or anything that you have suffered in this life, words of God says so. Paul knows this blessed truth, Philippians 3:8 says What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.
