Luke 23:27- 31

In a day we walk past a lot of troubled souls. Some are struggling with their finances others emotionally and many of them physically. We feel sorry for them. Somehow we tend to compare their present situation with our own and we think we are well off.

When Jesus was on the way to calvary he was all injured. He was such a bad picture of human body. There was blood oozing out of His body and he was bruised all over. The women of Jerusalem approached him weeping. They knew Jesus was innocent and did not deserve this. But on the contrast Jesus told them not to weep for Him but for themselves and their Children. Jesus knew His future and He was talking on that regard. He would die on the cross and be up on the third day. But the people of Israel were going to pay a huge price by inviting God's wrath on them. As history proves it, they have always been in trouble. Of course God is with them and believers all over the world are supposed to pray and bless them.

Jesus was such a poor picture of humanity while going to the cross. But He knew His future and was completely at rest. We look at the present and doubt our future. Our today and tomorrow is in God's hands. He knows the best and will do the best. Let's be at rest and expect the best.
