Luke 24:3-6
Have you ever been at the right place for the wrong reason. It is often said that when we are in public or on the stage we should only make positive statements and the taboos must be maintained. But when in private or friendly talks, we do open up and share our real thoughts. We are more true when we are in private or in trustworthy company.
The women who went to see Jesus actually wanted to see the dead body of Jesus. They were actually interested in fulfilling the tradition. Kudos to them for being there by risking their life to honor the Savior. But honestly they did not come expecting to see the Lord risen. They were there to fulfill the tradition by embalming the body with spices.They were surely lacking in faith. The cross events had really left them shattered and they just did not remember the very Words and Promise of Jesus.
Many times we go about doing the thing without a real intent. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. Remember God's Word is true and His promises will never fail. Let's not just honor tradition for the sake of it. But let's go out there in every aspect of life with faith and real intent.
