It’s all about HIM.

Acts 8.21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.

People who are skilled and talented are always sought after. If you got some information then you have power. People want to connect with you and probably make use of you. Sometimes we don’t set any criteria for involving anyone in missions. We become more interested in the money and the so called influence in some way.

When the apostles went around laying hands on the believers in several cities and villages, many were filled with the Holy Spirit. It was not about numbers and events for them. They were basically focussed on doing God’s work in God’s way. So when Simon the sorcerer wanted the same ministry as apostles, he was rejected. Simply because his heart was not right before God.

Many times our ministry  comes out of our desire to be famous and influential. We get carried away by events and numbers. Then its more about you Me, Mine and Myself. Whereas Christian ministry and life is always about God and God alone. Let our hearts be right with God. It’s all about HIM.
