Let us be Faithful

Acts 14: 2 But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. 3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.

An elderly lady was once asked by a young man who had grown weary in the fight, whether he ought to give up the struggle. "I am beaten every time," he said dolefully. "I feel I must give up." "Did you ever notice," she replied, smiling into the troubled face before her, "that when the Lord told the discouraged fishermen to cast their nets again, it was right in the same old spot where they had been fishing all night and had caught nothing?"

Paul and Barnabas were separated to take the gospel to the gentiles. It is such a hard task today and it was the same those days as well. As they ministered they were poised with opposition and several challenges, even threatening their lives. But they did not stop doing what they were called to do. They knew that their God is with them so they continued to be faithful to what was entrusted to them and God did miracles in due time.

As we follow our Savior and go about fulfilling HIS call in our lives, we find it uncomfortable at several junctures. Most often than not we are tempted enough to quit and go back. Let us not be discouraged. Lets be reminded of the fact that, the ONE who has called you is faithful. HE will not leave you, nor forsake you. HE will do the miracle in HIS due time. Let us be faithful.
