"Prioritized"

Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Someone once asked Tom Landry why he had been so successful as a football coach. He said, "In 1958, I did something everyone who has been successful must do, I determined my priorities for my life — God, family, and then football.”

More often than not most tend to stick to one's own knowledge and understanding for most of the decisions. Perhaps when it comes to terminal disease we may invite God to heal and provide. Where a Bible teaches us to give the topmost priority to God and then everything else shall fall in its own place.

Most today seek God at the 11th hour or at their convenience. But God Is interested in all of our lives. Every bit of it and the complete control. Thats when HE can have HIS way and make our lives the most beautiful as it ought to be. Let God be our top most priority in every facet of life. Prioritized.

Don't worry , be concerned

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

It is believed that An average person's anxiety is focused on :

40% -- things that will never happen
30% -- things about the past that can't be changed
12% -- things about criticism by others, mostly untrue
10% -- about health, which gets worse with stress
8% -- about real problems that will be faced

It is so striking to realize that most of the things that we worry about serves no purpose. It only scares us more and reduces our effectiveness. Bible does say to be concerned but it's clear about the fact that, do not be anxious. When we are  worried and anxious over the things of life we tend to rob Jesus of HIS glory due from our lives.

We have a Savior who is ever ready to help us and get us going. Whether it be the deepest pit or the darkest cloud, Jesus is always there, we just need to trust HIM at all times and then HE will surely open doors and get us going for His glory. Don't worry be concerned.

Be Honest Dude

Proverbs 4:9 The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.

When Fred Phillips, retired public-safety director and police chief of Johnson City, Tenn., was a regular police office, he and his partner pulled over an unlicensed motorist. They asked the man to follow them to the police station, but while en route they spotted a North Carolina vehicle whose license plate and driver matched the description in an all-points bulletin.

The officers took off in a high-speed chase, and finally stopped the wanted man's car.
Minutes later, as the felon was being arrested, the unlicensed motorist drove up. "If y'all will just tell me how to get to the station, I'll wait for you there," he said. "I'm having a heck of a time keeping up with you."

Honesty doesn't look glamorous anymore. People today are ready to take any path to be successful and to receive fame. It’s no more slow and steady but by hook or by crook. Somehow the idea of honesty has been written away.

But the Bible tells us to be people of noble Character at all times. The world might be running away leaving us behind with all sorts of tricks and malice. But you and I need to stick to the pattern of the Lord and move in the right path to glorify God. I.e when God is most glorified, because God's work in God's way will never lack God's provision. Be honest dude.

Be revived

Psalms 85:6 - Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

Billy Sunday was one of the famous preacher who held various large revival meetings to revive the Church and bring many to Christ.  Once a Lady asked Billy Sunday: "
Why do you keep having revivals when it doesn't last?"
He asked her, "Why do you keep taking baths?"

Often when leaders and pastors talk about revival in personal and corporate manners, several don't understand the matter. It seems to be a  thing of old and always boring when someone talks about revival. But Bible reminds us  to be refreshed and energised in our Christian walks. We are often walking with the old energy and stale knowledge. This will only lead us into a tired and an ineffective ministry and Christian life.

We need to be revived every day. In fact every opportunity that we get to come closer to God, we must make the best use of it. If we  are not being revived we will be always sad in our hearts and disappointed in our behaviour.  But as we make good use of every reading, experience, prayer time, Bible Study, fellowship and etc., we will surely be revived and be a blessing to many. Be revived.

Living with a purpose

Mark 6:43 - NIV - and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish.

Ed McManus, editor of The Jokesmith newsletter, has put out a booklet of humor about folks in human resources. It's called What is a Human Resource? and in it he explains how people get assigned to particular jobs.  You leave them in a conference room for four hours. Then, you go back to see what they're doing.

If they don't look up when you enter the room, assign them to the Security Department. If they're counting the butts in the ashtray, put them in Finance. If they've taken the table apart, put them in Engineering. If they're screaming and waving their arms, send them off to Manufacturing. And if they've left early, put them in Sales.

Our God is the smartest. When He creates something or someone, He always has a purpose. God doesn't like wasting away things. After feeding the 5000 with fish and bread everyone was so happy. But the plenty that came should not go waste. So it was collected and it came up to 12 baskets. Probably it could be used on the way or can be given to the poor or something could be done with it always.

Many of us in this body of Christ have termed ourselves useless. Even before others name us, we have found our title as useless, because of our negative attitude and lazy nature. Its high time that we realize that God has created us for a purpose and lets be at it. As we continue in the presence of God and in the things of God, we shall surely get an idea of what we ought to be doing in and FOR HIS KINGDOM. Living with a purpose.

Stewards of God's Grace

Luke 12:42 (KJV) And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

A steward is a person who manages another's property or financial affairs; one who administers anything as the agent of another or others. The possessions a steward controls are not his own and he doesn't have the liberty to do with them as he wishes. He is supposed to fulfil the desires of the one who appointed him as Steward.

A banker is also a steward who has been entrusted with other  people's money. He cannot use the money for his own purpose rather he can use it which can benefit the depositors or to the Bank. If he uses the same money for his gain, it can lead him to Jail. Though there is money in his possession it does not belong to him.

Every believer is a steward of God's grace. All that we possess in Earth belongs to God. We have received these things from God and we are therefore accountable to HIM for the use and the misuse of it. Let's be a good steward and glorify HIS name.

Cherish as others succeed

Philippians 1:3-5 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,

Forty thousand fans were on hand in the Oakland stadium when Rickey Henderson tied Lou Brock's career stolen base record. According to USA Today Lou, who had left baseball in 1979, had followed Henderson's career and was excited about his success. Realizing that Rickey would set a new record, Brock said, "I'll be there. Do you think I'm going to miss it now? Rickey did in 12 years what took me 19. He's amazing."

The Church today has unfortunately become a breeding ground for jealousy. When somebody is shining for Christ, others are looking ways to burn him out. Whereas Apostle Paul the great Leader was happy to see the Church in Philippi grow into Christ likeness and effective ministry.

The real success stories in life are with people who can rejoice in the successes of others. What Lou Brock did in cheering on Rickey Henderson should be a way of life in the family of God. Few circumstances give us a better opportunity to exhibit God's grace than when someone succeeds and surpasses us in an area of our own strength and reputation. Let us cherish as others succeed.

HE will not hold back

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

A certain medieval monk announced he would be preaching next Sunday evening on "The Love of God." As the shadows fell and the light ceased to come in through the cathedral windows, the congregation gathered. In the darkness of the altar, the monk lighted a candle and carried it to the crucifix. First of all, he illumined the crown of thorns, next, the two wounded hands, then the marks of the spear wound. In the hush that fell, he blew out the candle and left the chancel. There was nothing else to say.

The Love of God is such a deep and an amazing topic to realize the greatness of our God. At the end of it, one will simply realize that HE is so amazing that you and I can’t just comprehend it fully. But for sure we can understand HIM effectively. Thats when Bible reminds us that God the Father gave the best in the heaven for you and me. HE kept nothing for HIMSELF but gave JESUS that HE may die on the cross for the forgiveness  of our sin and to attain a new life of abundance.
When HE has given us the best, will HE hold back and good things from us. Some of us are so low in confidence regarding the fact that I don't have this, I don't have that and I am really unfortunate to have missed out on so many things. But let us be encouraged by the powerful reminder that when HE has given us the best, HE will not hold back any good thing from us. HE will not hold back.

HE is with us

Joshua 1:9-11  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”And Joshua commanded the officers of the people, “Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, ‘Prepare your provisions, for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan to go in to take possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.'”

Last evening we got the news of a dear family friend who has been diagnosed with cancer. It’s been hard to take it in and we are earnestly praying for God’s miracle in Mrs. Thomas’ life. In times like these we are always challenged in our understanding of God and HIS love. We tend to doubt God and lose our focus from the greatness of God almighty.

God’s Word has never promised us a safe journey, but for sure a safe landing. But the journey is indeed troublesome, full of pain with lots of issues. And when the rubber meets the metal, the real worth is tested. Bible tells us to be courageous and strong, come what may. It is indeed hard but that is all that has been told to us, Worship HIM at all times and expect a miracle from God in times of despair and need.

It is indeed hard for us to go through tough times, but let’s be reminded that our good God is always with us. Let us not give up  but  trust HIM for a great deliverance. Nothing is impossible with God. Trusting God for a miracle in Mrs. Thomas life. Do pray for complete healing with the confidence that HE is with us.

Forgive & Forget

Colossians 3:13 ESV - Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross, was reminded one day of a vicious deed that someone had done to her years before. But she acted as if she had never even heard of the incident. "Don't you remember it?" her friend asked. "No," came Barton's reply, "I distinctly remember forgetting it."

We are often working with people who are always around us and might have hurt us or offended us in some or the other ways. It becomes difficult in such a scenario to get going and exhibit Christ like nature.

But the only way out is to forgive and get going. If we continue to keep the burn in our hearts and continue to harbour the wound, it might end up harming us more than intended in the long run. Let's be people with the Christian Character to forgive and forget.

Grow, Grow & Grow

2 Peter 3:18 ESV - But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

As I write this I am sitting at the Car service station. My parents gifted me a new car when I got married to the most beautiful woman (FOR ME) on earth. So this car has a regular service time after a particular time period and distance covered. So the service advisor of the car has been telling a couple of things to be done to the car as the car is serviced. The good news is that the car will function better in the long run and not give any issues when on the road.

The Bible reminds and encourages us to make every conscious effort to grow in the knowledge of our Lord. The ultimate aim is to become more like HIM.

Perhaps in our Christian lives we have often been casual about upgrading and growing in the Lord. Some of us, not all are still at the same knowledge and understanding as we began our journey with the Lord. Let us make deliberate attempts to grow in the Lord. Grow, Grow & Grow.

Do not avoid

James 4:17 (ESV) - So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

I heard of this true  story of a very talented boy who lost his life due to a dog bite. Of course it's a very sad incident. It was for sure an accident. But even after the bite, the boy and the family did not think seriously about it and did not take the anti rabies injection. We lost a potential life.

The family did not do it intentionally. They thought the dog was clean and even their son did not take it very seriously.

The Bible tells us to be careful and wise and do the things that has to be done and takes care of .

Often we avoid doing a lot of things and that leads us into trouble. When we are in trouble even those around us are affected. When the Lord has given us all the knowledge let us use it effectively and be a blessing .

God bless Pastor K Joy & Family

Deuteronomy 3:16 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
20151115062833 (1).jpg
Its indeed a joy to be blessed by Men of God who are faithful to the great calling given by God. By the grace of God I was ordained yesterday by the Presbytery of IPC Delhi State to do all the Church related ministries, during the Annual Combined Worship service of IPC Delhi State. It was a humbling moment to be charged up for even more effective in ministry and be faithful till the last breath.
73ff7a9d-26be-4a1c-bbf4-e040eb36ccd4.jpg
But the treasured moment of the day was when I knelt down and asked Dr. Jacob Thomas (Itarsi)  to pray for me, instead of Simply laying his hands on me, He too knelt down and prayed with tears for me.
12227620_905376402865558_8672458335493002130_n.jpgBut the moment that I would always cherish was when one of the Legends of Pentecostal world Ps. K.Joy and his family was felicitated by IPC Delhi State council and all the saints gathered at the Convention Venue with a standing Ovation. Ps. K Joy has stepped down from the leadership position to spend more time in Prayer and Ministry of the Word. The Church was not willing to let him go, but on his request the Church released him. In the words of Dr. Jacob Thomas who was the guest speaker from Itarsi, Ps. K Joy has not stepped down from leadership but has taken up a bigger role of Preparing Elijahs, Joshuas and Timothys in the days to come.
I dedicate this blog for the glory of God to this great man of God, Who dedicated me when I was a child, baptized me in 1998 when I grew up, Inaugurated the Worship Service of Crossway Church in 2012 and then Conducted my wedding in June 2015 and ordained me into a licensed Christian Minister yesterday.
The life of Ps. K Joy is a true testimony of complete trust in God. From a small village in Kerala, God brought him to North India where he has now completed 50 years of ministry and is still going strong. He has travelled in several parts of the world with the blessed Word of God. He is considered as one of the finest expositor of God’s Word with a very good command over Hindi & Malayalam. He has written 40 books and is a great Bible Teacher. He served as the President of IPC NCR & Delhi State for the last 22 years and has now chosen to be the Patron of the same and be involved in the Spiritual ministry in the days to come.
I salute Ps. K Joy for his commitment towards God almighty. Challenged and Blessed by his amazing ministry. My Prayers is that God would give him good health and a mighty ministry in the days to come. God bless Pastor K Joy.

Give Thanks Daily

Luke 17:18 - "These are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger."

Relatively few people who receive the goodness of the Lord return to give him thanks for the what he has done. That does not keep the lord from doing what is right for us. He healed all ten of these lepers according to their request - not just the one who was thankful. However, there was only one out of the "TEN" that was made "WHOLE."

The Lord desires that we prosper in spirit, soul and body. He wants us to be whole - not just healed. The reason God meets our physical needs is to prove to us His willingness and ability to meet our emotional and spiritual needs. The Lord is concerned about our temporal needs, but he is even concerned about our eternal needs. All of these lepers needed physical. He was also desiring to meet their spiritual needs, but only one out of the ten came back for that.

Being thankful is always a sign that self is exalting itself above God. Thankfulness is a sign of humility and cultivating a life of thankfulness will help keep "self" in its proper place.
Thankfulness to the Lord for what He is and what he has done is a very important part of Christian life. Give thanks is a totally unselfish action and is a key to have a healthy relationship with the Father that who makes us "whole" and not just "healed."

Sola Gratia

2 Timothy 1:9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, (ESV)

It was Tim Hansel who scripted that imaginary yet so meaningful letter.

To: Jesus, Son of Joseph
Woodcrafter's Carpenter Shop
Nazareth 25922
From: Jordan Management Consultants

Dear Sir:
Thank you for submitting the resumes of the twelve men you have picked for managerial positions in your new organization. All of them have now taken our battery of tests; and we have not only run the results through our computer, but also arranged personal interviews for each of them with our psychologist and vocational aptitude consultant.
The profiles of all tests are included, and you will want to study each of them carefully.
As part of our service, we make some general comments for your guidance, much as an auditor will include some general statements. This is given as a result of staff consultation, and comes without any additional fee.
It is the staff opinion that most of your nominees are lacking in background, education and vocational aptitude for the type of enterprise you are undertaking. They do not have the team concept. We would recommend that you continue your search for persons of experience in managerial ability and proven capability.
Simon Peter is emotionally unstable and given to fits of temper. Andrew has absolutely no qualities of leadership. The two brothers, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, place personal interest above company loyalty. Thomas demonstrates a questioning attitude that would tend to undermine morale. We feel that it is our duty to tell you that Matthew had been blacklisted by the Greater Jerusalem Better Business Bureau; James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus definitely have radical leanings, and they both registered a high score on the manic-depressive scale.
One of the candidates, however, shows great potential. He is a man of ability and resourcefulness, meets people well, has a keen business mind, and has contacts in high places. He is highly motivated, ambitious, and responsible. We recommend Judas Iscariot as your controller and right-hand man. All of the other profiles are self-explanatory.
We wish you every success in your new venture.

Sincerely,
Jordan Management Consultants

If it was for the standards of the world, we can never be worthy to serve our great and mighty God. Its His grace alone that we call HIM Abba Father and have the privilege to serve HIM. Sola Gratia.

Enjoy the journey

Philippians 2: 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

Ted W. Engstrom, in the book, The Pursuit of Excellence shares about a man who once made an investment in a large piece of ranch real estate which he hoped to enjoy during his years of retirement. While he was still active at his job, he would take one day off each week to go out to his land and work. But what a job! What he had bought, he soon realized, was several acres of weeds, gopher holes, and rundown buildings. It was anything but attractive, but he knew it had potential and he stuck with it.

Every week he'd go to his ranch, crank up his small tractor, and plow through the weeds with a vengeance. Then he'd spend time doing repairs on the buildings. He'd mix cement, cut lumber, replace broken windows, and work on the plumbing. It was hard work, but after several months the place began to take shape. And every time the pastor put his hand to some task, he would swell with pride. He knew his labor was finally paying off.

When the project was completed, the man received a neighborly visit from a farmer who lived a few miles down the road. Farmer Brown took a long look at the preacher and cast a longer eye over the revitalized property. Then he nodded his approval and said, "Well, friend, it looks like you and God really did some work here."

The pastor, wiping the sweat from his face, answered, "It's interesting you should say that, Mr. Brown. But I've got to tell you -- you should have seen this place when God had it all to Himself!"

We often don’t realize that God is always at work in our lives. We might be only concerned about the results and the final picture, But God enjoys the process, because that's where God is making us what we ought to become, and it just goes on. Let’s enjoy the journey.
