Continue to follow Him

Left on a sinking ship were the captain and three sailors. The captain spoke first. "Men, this business about a captain going down with his ship is nonsense. There's a three-man life raft on board and I'm going to be on it. To see who will come with me, I will ask you each one question. The one who can't answer will stay behind. Here's the first question: What unsinkable ship went down when it hit an iceberg?" The first sailor answered, "The Titanic, sir." "On to the next question: How many people perished?" The second sailor said, "One thousand five hundred and seventeen, sir." "Now for the third question," and the captain turned to sailor number three. "What were their names?"

Joshua 3 : 1-3 Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out from Shittim and went to the Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. After three days the officers went throughout the camp, giving orders to the people: “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it.
This week we will be learning from Joshua 3 about crossing the Jordan which is of course a big challenge.
In life, we are always hit by that overwhelming moment where it's so hard to move ahead and find victory. But in the heat of the moment, we need to remind ourselves that It is God who has brought us thus far, and He will see us through. The ark of the covenant mentioned in v.3 is symbolic to the presence of God. And Joshua through his leaders was spreading the word that in front of the challenge don't forget to follow God. Many a time in front of a big challenge we tend to forget God's presence. We ought to remind ourselves that I have a big God and let me just follow Him faithfully.
So if He has brought us thus far, let's continue to follow Him.
