Laugh at your problems

Psalms 2:1-4
1. Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail? 2. The kings of the earth form a united front; the rulers collaborate against the Lord and his anointed king. 3. They say, “Let’s tear off the shackles they’ve put on us! Let’s free ourselves from their ropes!” 4. The one enthroned in heaven laughs in disgust; the Lord taunts them.

God is never moved when plans are conceived against God’s people. He had seen it coming and is not surprised by it. Psalms 2:4 mentions that He laughs at the enemy’s plans. He is not laughing at us but at those problems that torment us. He sees opportunities in these circumstances to take all the glory by doing wonders in our life.

Jesus while he was on the earth never saw problems as we see problems. We usually react by getting agitated and all worked out. We never see Jesus getting agitated, worked out or frustrated. He saw problems as opportunities where God could do wonders and His name be glorified. If there was a storm He would calm it. If there was a huge crowd following He would feed them. If the mob tried pushing Him off the cliff He would go right through them. He would heal the sick and seize every problem as an opportunity to seek God's glory. His posture of response to a problem was completely resting in His Father and trusting Him. He did what He saw His Father do.

According to Ephesians 2:4, Paul says that we are seated in Him in the heavenly places. If we are also seated in heaven in Christ then can we share the same attitude that God has because we also have the mind of Christ? So is it possible for us to laugh at our problems resting in Him? Yes it is.
