WALK IN THE VICTORY THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN WON

1 John 4:4; “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

I’m sure all of us have at some time in our lives watched Pro Wrestling. Some years ago I actually had the opportunity to go and watch one of these events. It was only then I realized that Pro Wrestling was completely staged. Everything about the system was predetermined. The contenders go through the battle for entertainment purpose only. The point of the battle is not to determine who will win, but to put a show to the crowd. The winner of the match does not battle for victory, but from victory.

Those of us who have come to Jesus Christ have already won. God allows us to go through our Christian walks, not to win the victory but to show through us to the world that He that is in us is greater than he who is in the world. No matter what we have to face in our Christian lives, we can take courage and be comforted in unfailing words of Jesus to His disciples on the night before His arrest that said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
