It’s Not about Giving but TRUSTING

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work

As we conclude the lesson on giving, let’s realize that the real topic is not giving. Giving is only an indicator of what is there in your heart. We don’t give because we fear and what we fear is the reflection of what we trust.

Mark 12:41-44
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”
Old widow gave more because she gave sacrificially. It cost her everything.

Matthew 6:12 - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
The real intention is not for you to give per say, but it is to help you reflect in your heart on what do you trust?
Israelites got silver and gold before they reached Canaan. They used the same gold to build a calf.
Peter had a boat sinking load of fishes and then he was called.
Abraham was super wealthy in gold and in silver and livestock and was a friend of GOD. Job had 14000 sheeps, 6000 camels, 1000 yoke of oxen and 1000 donkeys yet was a righteous man in GOD’s sight. David gave 224,000 pound of gold,  525,000 pound of silver as his personal offering for the building of temple and was a man after GOD’s heart.
And Judas was corrupted in 30 pieces of silver and betrayed Jesus. It is never about the wealth but heart.
Can you trust that the salary is not from your company but God is the provision?
The problem is the condition of our heart and giving is just an indicator.
See you don’t have to give but can you ask yourself, if you are trusting God in every aspect of your life? And if you have the desire to trust in Him completely, then will you ask Him to help you in your struggle? Let’s dwell and not just visit the Lord.
