You got a complain ?

A monk joined a monastery and took a vow of silence. After the first 10 years his superior called him in and asked, "Do you have anything to say?" The monk replied, "Food bad." After another 10 years the monk again had opportunity to voice his thoughts. He said, "Bed hard." Another 10 years went by and again he was called in before his superior. When asked if he had anything to say, he responded, "I quit." "It doesn't surprise me a bit. You've done nothing but complain ever since you got here."

Philippians 1:12 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.

We often hear of excuses and complaints when pushed out of comfort zones. To add to it for some, things of God and to involve in it becomes very difficult due to their circumstances. We are today surrounded by people who have one issue after another in life. Situations are indeed true, and makes life tough. But when the going gets tough, tough gets going.

Paul in spite of being in prison was advancing in the work of the gospel. He was writing the eternal Word which would impact generations after generation. He was sharing the gospel to every palace guard and leading many to Christ. Every adversity was an opportunity for him to trust in God’s grace and live a victorious Christian life even in prison. This makes it clear that our circumstances do not stop us from being joyful in life and serving Christ. If we are willing to serve God, He can use us anywhere and make us a blessing for generations. As we go about living in God’s purpose can we enjoy everything that comes our way ? You got a complain ?
