Stand firm

1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.

Football (Soccer) is one of the most played games all over the world. The plan is to score as many goals against the opposition and defend one’s own goal post. Often after a team has scored a goal it stands more vulnerable to concede a goal than any other circumstance. It is simply because, the team feels a  bit relaxed and becomes casual. That is when they are most vulnerable to be attacked.

In our lives we surely have our highs and lows. Often it is during the highs when we lose control over our emotions, words and decisions. That’s when we are most vulnerable to lose our vision for life, relationships and things that matter.

Scripture reminds us to be on our guard always. You never know when the enemy might barge in.  So its always good to stand firm.
