The POWER of GOD'S WORD

Luke 8:11-15

"Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God......(15) But that on the ground are they, which in honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience."

It is through reading and meditating of the word, presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit that Christ in His fullness is known. We have the privilege to have God's word in our own language. We should take the advantage of this wonderful privilege.

One of the armor of God is the "Sword of the Spirit" which is the word of God (two-edged sword) that has the ability to cut, wound and hurt our enemy, the devil. Its not the bible in our bag or on the bed side that makes the enemy flee. but it is the word of God hidden in your heart, activated by the power of the Holy Spirit and spoken in an appropriate situation, then the power of God flows through us "If we are connected to him". It is similar to what Jesus said in John 6:63 that...The words I have spoken to you, they are full of spirit and life. The Word of God itself doesn't make us free. It is the Logos word we know and Rhema (speak) that will deliver you (John 8:32).

Why is the word so effective?? It's because it is WORD of GOD. Isaiah 55:11 says "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." It has authority and God's words supersedes all authority.

It is Holy Spirit that that uses this WORD as it spoken in Faith and brings into action. After the fasting when Jesus was tempted by the Satan, Jesus used only the Word of God to defend himelf by saying "IT IS WRITTEN." Likewise, we being the Believer should grow in Lord and must apply the Word of God in all our situations, by placing it in our Heart. Then as the Word of God says, it shall accomplish and we can live a victorious life in CHRIST.
