Let’s keep it up

1 Cori 11:28

Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup.

Several times after Church I have heard some say the message was really good today. I really wish He/she was here today. It was just for them. Today we are in a world of Self-justification. Somehow we have been trying to cover our weaknesses by highlighting the negatives of others.

When Apostle Paul writes to the Church in Corinth, he urges each one to examine themselves. The point being that we have a personal relationship with the Lord and we need to nurture it personally. We tend to be so concerned about others sins and weaknesses that we do not look into our lives. In an airplane during the take off instructions, they say please take care of yourself before you help others. Guess that is the need of the hour in our churches today. Unless we build ourselves we can’t save others.

You and I are called by the Lord and we have been blessed to serve the Lord. But unless we combat with the sin in our lives, Holy God will not be able to use us. We need to be concerned about others as Christians but let’s straighten our lives and finetune our walk with the Lord. Remember you and I have a personal relationship with the Lord. Let’s keep it up.
